Two separate portions of ground totalling 172 square km or 70% of an area located immediately to the north-east of Woomera township have now been relinquished by licensee OZ Exploration Pty Ltd. Work undertaken on these relinquished portions of EL 5835, for which the data are now presented, included parts (totalling ~1813 flight line km) of an airborne magnetic/radiometric/DTM survey that was flown in May-June 2014, and parts (1035 stations plus 278 stations, read over two grids) of an infill ground gravity survey that was acquired in December 2014. From the latter work, resultant data images partially resolved the definition of known gravity anomalies, but no targets were selected which were deemed to be worthy of further investigation. No other work, such as drilling, was done on these relinquished portions of the licence area. Regarding the subject licence's exploration commitments, the required expenditure on such was not met, and so a partial relinquishment was stipulated by DEM. The areas chosen for it by OZ Minerals reflect a perception of diminished prospectivity therein.
