Section 12 of the Petroleum and Geothermal Energy Regulations 2013 require any person proposing to undertake activities relevant to petroleum exploration to prepare a draft statement of environmental objectives (SEO) prior to exploration commencing. A SEO must identify any event which could arise from any regulated activity under the Petroleum and Geothermal Energy Act 2000 and may cause a serious and reportable incident within the meaning of section 85 of the Act. This SEO covers JP Commodities support hub in Cooper Basin of South Australia.
