An area centred ~30 km north-east of Woomera is being explored for possible economic buried IOCG style epithermal-hydrothermal mineralisation. The intent is to drill up to eleven untested targets which are already described in previously reported work done by other explorers, or have more recently been identified at the request of Red Tiger Resources (RTR) through advanced geophysical data modelling performed in 2013 by by Jim Hanneson, geochemical data modelling of basement rocks in existing drill cores and a metallogenetic assessment done by Scott Haley, plus a geological structural interpretation performed by Chris Anderson. During the first licence year, no work was done. During licence Year 2, infill drilling was carried out at the Emmie North prospect, because it was regarded as a place where the probability of encountering IOCG mineralisation should be greatest, since several nearby deep previous drillholes had encountered sub-economic sulphide mineralisation with IOCG style affinities. In particular, holes SAE3, SAE4 and SAE6 had disclosed the Emmie Bluff prospect IOCG occurrence to the immediate south of the subject EL 5372, holes IHAD03 and IHAD05 had defined the Intercept Hill prospect, and holes AD02, AD08, IHAD01 and IHAD04 had defined the Arcoona Dam prospect. A single 9 m rotary mud precollared, vertical HQ/NQ2 diamond cored hole, 15RTDD-BS1, was drilled at Emmie North by the licensee during October-November 2015 to a total depth of 1098 m, aiming to test a local minor residual gravity high named the 'Blue Sky' target, and it entered pre-Pandurra Formation basement at a depth of 942.4 m. Within the Pandurra Formation, numerous bands of haematitic siltstones, conglomerates and breccia zones that were intersected from approximately 520 m depth through to the basement unconformity presented drilling difficulties with poor core recovery and loss of water return. Anomalous Cu/Co/U/Fe content is associated with haematitic zones within the Pandurra Formation at 900 m and 920 m depth. Altered ?Donington Suite coarse-grained granite was intersected over the basement depth interval 942.4 m to 1076.2 m. A zone of elevated magnetic susceptibility was detected in this unit below 1008 m depth; just above it, narrow veins of copper sulphide (chalcopyrite + bornite) mineralisation can be seen in the core depth interval 975 m to 1005 m. A lower iron content in the copper mineralised zone suggested to RTR the possibility that it had formed when a later mineralising fluid overprinted the precursor iron - rich alteration. Because uranium is only very weakly anomalous over this interval, and cobalt is absent, it can be inferred that the geochemically anomalous intervals within the Pandurra Formation reflect a different mineral assemblage. Unaltered pink granite was penetrated over the bottom of hole depth interval 1076.2 m to 1098 m. It was concluded by RTR that hole 15RTDD-BS1, for which the cost of drilling had been partly subsidised by the SA Government as approved PACE Initiative Year 8 collaborative drilling project DPY8-06 [see Env 12954], had been successful in finding the source of a valid residual gravity target that had previously been masked by the strong regional gravity gradient. Further work will establish if the haematitic alteration and associated low order mineralisation within the “basement” granite is consistent with known features of the margins of an IOCG system. During licence Year 3, RTR did no work. But planning of substantial future exploration began following the execution late in December 2016 of a binding purchase Heads of Agreement made between RTR and OZ Minerals. A granted 3-year extension of tenure for EL 5372 will now allow for undertaking an accelerated 3-years duration staged drilling programme, which is expected to commence in May 2017 and to cost in the vicinity of A$9 million. During licence Year 4 exploration activities included the drilling of 5 diamond holes for a total length of 4437.6 m. Holes 17WTRDDH001-003 were completed with full logs provided. Hole 17WTRDDH001 was to test a modelled gravity high between existing mineralised drillholes and encountered basement at 717 m, with some initial traces of pyrite and chalcopyrite, within a series of granites and metasediments, the hole was terminated after encountering a gneiss. Hole 17WTRDDH002 was to test a coincident gravity and magnetic anomaly and encountered basement at 890.3 m depth, with gneiss showing a few traces of fine pyrite/chalcopyrite at 905 m. The hole was terminated after limited evidence of mineralization. Hole 17WTRDDH003 was to test the gravity high on new prospect “Sawyer” and intersected basement at 883.1 m and was continued to 1029.6 m in Donnington granite intruded by red fine grain granite and coarse grain pegmatite. Chalcopyrite and pyrite are visible as traces from 980.5 m to direction to end hole. Hole 17WTRDDH004 was terminated after the rod string got stuck and could not be reattached, while hole 17WTRDDH005 was terminated at 1084.9 m when no significant mineralisation was observed. During licence Year 5 no field work was undertaken, as no new technical data was acquired a formal report was not submitted.
