Geological investigations have delineated a dolomite deposit extending at least 8 miles along the lower Neales River and exposed in its banks. An indicated resource of approximately 20 million tons is estimated to be present. It is considered that the deposit will prove to be of broad extent, particularly to the south. Aerial observations of a similar type body were also made over the lower reaches of the Macumba River, 16-20 miles north of the Neales River occurrence.
