Composite channel samples of outcropping dolomite rock, taken from the banks of the lower Neales River, were subjected to laboratory tests to find out which physical property of the raw material best relates to its actual MgO content. The aim is to have a practical and reliable basis for selecting mined rock of an optimum starting grade to undergo subsequent beneficiation using proposed onsite facilities.
