The range of Lower Cambrian limestone hills extending between Normanville and Myponga Beach was investigated for its base metal potential by orientation stream sediment sampling and by grid-based soil sampling (2298 samples). Three significant areas of geochemical anomalism were found by the soil sampling, and these were geologically mapped and drill tested by 5 percussion holes with an aggregate penetration of 1310 feet, drilled to target depths of up to 300 feet. One drillhole put down at the South Wangkonda grid, AB4, intersected galena ore over the depth interval 60-80 feet, carrying up to 6% Pb but with <0.01% Zn. Two traverses of IP surveying were conducted at the Pipeline prospect, where historic shallow lead mining has occurred. No IP anomalies of interest could be discerned. 18 mineral claims (MC 6281 - MC 6298) have lately been taken out by E-Z to cover various geochemical anomalies of interest, pending a postponed resumption of work, including further exploratory drilling, in this area.
