Uranium exploration, undertaken over a small area of poorly outcropping to shallowly subcropping amphibolite facies metamorphosed Early Precambrian basement located near Toweroo Bore, 35 km north-northwest of Crocker Well, has comprised 144 line km of detailed low-level aerial magnetic / multichannel spectroscopic radioactivity surveying over the 11 square km licence area, plus follow-up ground magnetic and radioactivity traverses, detailed geological mapping (at 1:2400 scale) and soil and mineralised outcrop vein sampling. A significant radiometric anomaly was seen trending outwards from the known Spring Hill surface uranium occurrence into the undrilled, soil-covered north-eastern part of the licence area. Most of the field work was carried out in the vicinity of the Spring Hill uranium occurrence, which is currently held under two private Mineral Claims over which the licensee unsuccessfully has been seeking an option to allow for further exploration. A programme of intended drilling and evaluation work is presented, and the geological environment of the known primary and secondary uranium mineralisation is reviewed. Maps depicting interpreted geology and geochemical and geophysical anomalies are also included.
