During the twenty-first licence year, now under tenure as EL 5719 covering the same area as former EL 4534, no new work was done. During the twenty-second licence year SA Coal commenced field work on their IOCG style mineralisation exploration program. Work was initiated by the completion of a field gravity survey, culminated in drilling three (3) core holes as part of a reconnaissance coal / basement drilling program. Although no Permian sediments or anomalous mineralisation was evident in core, the drillholes intersected undeformed granite expected to be a similar age to lithologies that characterise the Mount Woods Inlier in the Olympic Dam Domain. Work also continued on the utilisation studies and commercialisation options for the Lake Phillipson Coal Deposit. All 3 holes intersected undeformed Hiltaba Granite within 25 m of the surface and was interpreted to be responsible for the gravity contrast that the holes targeted. The gravity survey was completed by Daishsat Geodetic Surveyors, on a 200 x 200 m grid, utilising Scintrex CG-5 digital gravity meters, with final processing also completed by Daishsat [See included report]. A total of 320 new gravity stations were acquired during the survey. Drilling targeted a combination of gravity and magnetic anomalies and structures within the tenement and consisted of 3 rotary mud pre-collared and HQ or NQ2 cored holes to final depth, with a total of 520.2 m drilled, including 74.6 m of pre-collar chipping and 445.6 m of core. Representative samples from the pre-collar were collected and all core was logged including magnetic susceptibility readings. The core was selectively sampled for geochemical analysis of a 60-element suite. No coal, Permian stratigraphy or groundwater was intersecting in any of the holes. During the reporting year to August 2018, no exploration field work was undertaken. Instead, work continued on developing the gasification potential of the tenement. SA Coal continues to assess the potential for IOCGU mineralisation within the tenement.
