17 square km or ~65% of the former area of EL 5931, and 14 square km or ~12% of the former area of EL 6072, have recently been relinquished due to their now perceived diminished prospectivity for buried base and precious metal mineralisation. Work completed on the relinquished portions of ELs 5931 and 5164/6072 during the past six years has consisted mainly of the acquisition during 2018 of parts of a detailed airborne magnetic survey, making a geological and structural fabric interpretation of these survey data and then generating conceptual exploration targets, performing a review of historic regional gravity survey data, and performing an assessment of historic surface geochemical sampling. The main purpose of flying the magnetic survey was to assess the regional gold potential of the Wilcherry Hill district using high resolution magnetic data; the data would be used to better define potentially gold prospective magnetic iron formations like those seen at Weednanna, and also would allow the structural interpretation of possible past conduits for gold-bearing fluids. Approximately 192 line km were surveyed within EL 5931, and 164 line km surveyed within EL 6072, along flight lines 100 m apart using a 30 m mean terrain clearance height. Interpretation was done mainly at a scale of 1:25,000, but no targets were identified on the now surrendered licence portions. The coverage of historical gravity data is regarded as generally too sparse to provide targeting utility. Where detailed coverage exists, the gravity highs have already been drilled previously. During 2016, part of a regional XCITE helicopter-borne electromagnetic survey was also conducted over the three now surrendered sub-blocks of EL 5931, in a search for conductors that may be associated with massive sulphide base metal deposits. In total, ~18.8 line km were flown there along flight lines 800 m apart. No high or moderate priority conductors were identified. The criteria used for prioritising anomalies included: persistence of the EM response into/beyond the latest arriving frequency channels, amplitude of the anomaly / width of the anomaly / shape of the anomaly, proximity to known mineralisation, proximity to magnetic features, and location in relation to other anomalies. No AEM data were acquired over the surrendered portion of EL 5164.
