An area covering the northern end of the Campoona Syncline is being explored for possible economic buried graphite formed within Palaeoproterozic schistose rocks, which may exist as northern extensions to the Central Campoona graphite resource as well as southern extensions to the recently discovered Sugarloaf Hill Trend graphite occurrence. Other likely commodities taken into prospective consideration are copper, zinc and cobalt. During the first licence year, Archer Exploration assayed 111 samples taken from drillhole materials stored at the DSD Core Library which had been submitted by previous Campoona Syncline explorer Centrex Metals/Lincoln Minerals. Samples selected from holes CBAC031 to 036 were submitted for laboratory multi-element analysis, including a full REE suite, and for total graphitic carbon analysis. Significant graphitic carbon was identified in some of the holes, i.e. CBAC033 which returned a value of 42.8% TGC from one of twelve samples. This result confirmed the extension of the Sugarloaf Hill mineralised trend by 3 km into EL 5791. During the second licence year, minor work was done over the ground as a part of an assessment into Manganese mineralisation in the district via a desktop review. No field work was completed. During the third licence year no field work was conducted. A review of geophysics for manganese potential was completed during the reporting period.
