Exploration licence 5699 was taken up to evaluate the development potential of the East Wintinna Early Permian sub-bituminous coal deposit, which is the largest known coal deposit in the Arckaringa Basin and is regarded as having the best future prospects for open cut mining or In-Situ Gasification (ISG). During the first year of tenure, ARK Energy performed a desktop review of open file data, reprocessed the available geophysical data, and sought to better understand the geology of the subject licence area and adjoining tenements [EL 5781, EL 5598 Area A] at a local and regional scale. Further to this, in 2015 Xenith Consulting Pty Ltd were commissioned to complete a re-analysis of existing drillhole coal seam data to produce a JORC compliant resource estimate; this work was ongoing at the time of reporting. During the second year of tenure no field work was undertaken, as such no formal technical report was submitted.
