Exploration licence 6880 covered an area of 260 square km and is located approximately 600 km north of Adelaide. The tenement is broken into 3 sub-blocks and lies 20 km to the west of Marree. During the first and only year of exploration, Eagle Metals Pty Ltd complied available open file exploration data and public announcements from listed companies for review and target generation, along with a site visit to develop a better understanding of the landscape and to build a relationship with the local community. During the site visit the company collected 5 rock samples from prospects identified within the historical datasets. A single carbonaceous sedimentary rock returned results of 672.6 ppm Cu and 190 ppm Co. Despite site inspections confirming the existence of copper mineralisation in rocks close to the surface and positive rock samples results, Eagle Metals decided to drop the tenement due to its decision to focus on other areas of copper exploration within South Australia.
