Surface geochemical sampling and inspections of known historic old copper workings in the vicinity of the Yednalue Dome, north of Carrieton, were inconclusive for accurately detecting further buried supergene mineralisation, or for establishing possible sources of localised breccia veins of malachite, azurite and chalcocite. However, an apparent spatial association of surface mineralisation with intersecting fold axis shears of different generation fold sets was observed.
