Seven 25 kg stream sediment samples were obtained for detailed heavy mineral studies as part of a search for the source of a nearby palaeoplacer diamond deposit, which has only recently been discovered in Triassic basal conglomerates deposited within an intra-montane basin lying immediately to the south of licence area. No definitely kimberlitic indicator minerals were found.
