A single diamond drillhole (TD 362 m) put in to test the Kooralla Magnetic Ridge encountered granite and an augen gneiss/amphibolite schist sequence that is possibly part of the Lincoln Complex. Minor pyrite, chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite were present in the drill core, but no significant geochemical assay values were returned. The source of the magnetic anomaly is thought to be iron-rich minerals.
