Opening up of the Cattlegrid pit has greatly elucidated the geology of the Whyalla Sandstone and the ore bearing zone of the Pandurra Formation and with the discovery of the MG 14 basic dyke and overlying mineralization, a much more direct association with the dyke is inferred for the source and possibly deposition of the orebodies.
