Proposed copper mining project. Statement of environmental factors.

Drilling near Leigh Creek had delineated sufficient reserves of oxidized copper ore, for 5 years chemical operations at Burra and Port Adelaide, in 7 separate deposits in 3 areas, namely : 1) Mountain of Light : Paltridge North (formerly Mountain of Light), Rosmann East (formerly O'Donnel's Claims) and Paltridge South (formerly Matheson's Claim) 2) Mount Coffin : Elsie Adair and West Jubilee 3) Lyndhurst : Lynda and Lorna Doone. Each deposit would be mined by open pit and ores processed by a combination of heap and agitation acid leaching. Product would be recovered as copper cement which would be freighted to Burra. Impacts of mining, dewatering, mineral processing and waste disposal are discussed.
