Investigations suggest that dewatering of Paltridge North and Rosmann East is possible. At Lorna Doone the ore occurs above the water table and the water supply well produced sufficient groundwater for processing of ore. The geological setting at all 3 mine areas supports the occurrence of channel aquifers which possibly could be depleted when groundwater is withdrawn over a long period of time. The compaction of areas drained may reduce the recovery of groundwater to provide dry working conditions in the mine areas.
