Agitation leaching of minus 1/8 inch ore with 5% sulphuric acid made up in Pernatty Lagoon water, gave recoveries of 99% and 98%. Percolation leaching is too slow unless the fine material is removed for separate treatment (minus 1/2 inch ore gave 93% recovery in 10 days). The copper-bearing solutions should be suitable for scrap iron precipitation.
