Exploration work included geophysical surveys, reprocessing of airborne radiometric data, and rotary and diamond drilling (237 holes totalling 5975 m; total depths from 3-55 m) in a search for sedimentary uranium in Tertiary palaeochannels, and gold and base metals in basement rocks. A thick altered mafic volcanic section interfingering or underlying an arkose/conglomerate unit is regarded as a favourable target.
