A regional lakebed mud sampling survey of Pernatty Lagoon (474 samples) revealed copper anomalies in the north-western lagoon area, near the Mystery Workings and the Dolomite Islands. Detailed sampling (989 samples) in this part of the lagoon revealed 3 target areas (designated Tom, Dick and Harry). 4 drill holes put down on target Tom and another single hole drilled on a small geochemical anomaly between the Dolomite Islands and Gunyah Lake intersected no significant mineralisation. The geochemical anomalies appear to be merely a reflection of high background copper in the suboutcrop, and do not indicate underlying mineralisation.
