TARGET: Olympic Dam style Cu-Au-U mineralisation lying on a linear gravity feature extending south of Lake Macfarlane, which has associated magnetic discontinuities; unconformity - related sedimentary U at the Pandurra Formation/Gawler Range Volcanics stratigraphic contact. EXPLORATION: Airborne magnetic/radiometric, ground magnetics and gravity surveys, plus 5 aircore/diamond drillholes (total 404.5 m aircore, 236 m diamond) to test basement properties, and 191 RAB holes (total 2190 m) to obtain samples for geochemistry from possible buried volcanic vent structures, the latter drilled on 7 traverses across the final selected geophysical anomalies. RESULT: No uranium mineralisation was found in the Pandurra Formation or Gawler Range Volcanics. The drilling intersected dolerite and rhyolite only - the depth to magnetic basement in this region is now considered to be in excess of 1000 m. Some of the dolerite dykes sampled recorded weak base metal anomalies. A weak base metal anomaly was also detected in a shaley facies of the Pandurra Formation near Horseshoe Dam.
