Interpretation of image processed digital magnetic data from the 1978 SADME Kokatha Aerial Magnetic Survey, plus contouring of data from this survey and from the BMR's reprocessed TARCOOLA Aerial Magnetic Survey, had defined two possible ring structures near Earea Dam, south of Warna Well Tank, which it was thought could be evidence of eroded volcanic calderas prospective for epithermal gold. Subsequent ground investigations included the acquisition of high resolution ground magnetic surveys and RAB drilling of resultant magnetic highs (32 holes totalling 743 m), but this work yielded no significant gold assays or support for the exploration model.
