The author quotes historic descriptions of the underground mine geology of two abandoned copper mines situated about a half-mile apart on the eastern flank of Parabarana Hill. From the latest field inspection of the collapsed workings no conclusion could be drawn concerning the attitude or extent of the lodes, but the widespread presence in the area of disseminated and vein-type malachite indicates that any further exploration for previously recorded high grade sulphide ore shoots in deeper, less oxidised levels should prove worthwhile.
