Exploration of an area extending both to the north and south of Minlaton was undertaken to look for Olympic Dam type mineralisation in a possible Middle to Late Proterozoic fault-bound graben. After inspecting regional geophysical data and performing a literature search, field activity was restricted to conducting ground gravity and magnetic surveys over just one interpreted near-coincident magnetic and gravity feature situated 4 km south-west of Minlaton. The surveys did not locate any discrete magnetic anomalies that significantly coincide with detailed gravity anomalies. Computer modelling of the sources to anomalies within a small magnetic complex placed them at about 600 m depth.
