A belt of complex magnetic zones trending N-S corresponds in part to outcropping or drilled granites. Other zones in the belt reflect either iron rich sediments within synclinal basins, or further igneous intrusive bodies, or both. The belt may represent a tectonic hinge line. Magnetic basement depth estimates and sparse drilling data have been used to create a model for the thickness of Cainozoic sedimentation. This model has defined basement depressions up to 250 m deep overlying igneous intrusions, shallow synclinal basins, and linear depressions, which are elongated NNE, lying between and parallel to the Florieton and Morgan Faults. 13 point source aeromagnetic anomalies may be due to kimberlites. 8 of 78 airborne radiometric uranium anomalies should be investigated.
