TARGET: Stratiform lead-zinc-silver mineralisation of the Broken Hill or Aggeneys - Gamsberg type, associated with banded iron formations in Early Proterozoic metasediments. EXPLORATION: Data from the 1975 joint SADME / BMR Barna 1:100 000 scale mapsheet area aerial magnetic survey were reprocessed. Ground magnetic surveys, RAB drilling (65 holes totalling 1414 m), geological mapping, rock chip sampling, and a regional bulk leach extractable gold stream sediment sampling programme were undertaken. RESULTS: A Pb-Zn-Mn anomalous, synclinal Palaeoproterozoic sub-basin more than 12 km long and containing a chemical sedimentary package >1 km thick, was outlined at Miltalie North.
