TARGET: Lead-zinc-silver mineralisation of the Broken Hill or Aggeneys-Gamsberg type, associated with banded iron formations in Early Proterozoic metasediments; in addition, possible tin, tungsten or base metal-bearing skarns produced by hydrothermal alteration of thick carbonate units within the same sedimentary sequence, particularly near the margins of local post-orogenic granite intrusions. EXPLORATION: Aerial magnetic and radiometric surveys (5056 line km, 300 m line spacing, 70 m altitude), rock chip geochemical sampling, ground magnetic surveys, and RAB drilling (87 holes totalling 2572 m). Bulk leach extractable gold stream sediment sampling was also carried out. A single percussion drillhole on the Moongi magnetic anomaly was completed at 196 m depth within magnetic, gneissose biotite granite.
