Diamond and percussion drilling at the Poona copper-gold deposit has now defined an orebody with the potential to support a modest mining operation, by disclosing 206,000 tonnes of mineable reserves grading on average 6.45% Cu and 2 g/t Au. Diamond (4 holes totalling 305 m) and reverse circulation (6 holes totalling 306 m) drilling at the Wheal Hughes prospect has defined copper-mineralised quartz-tourmaline lodes within a wide zone of kaolin alteration of the Moonta Porphyry, with ore grades of 2.5% Cu and 0.6 g/t Au. Thin zones of higher grade material are also present, which may be amenable to selective mining. Percussion drilling (2 holes totalling 136 m) tested a small, intense Sirotem anomaly at the Parramatta prospect. One hole intersected a 2 m thick interval grading 2.85% Cu.
