TARGET: High aluminium content clay to use as a steaming coal furnace fireside additive to Lochiel coal. EXPLORATION: Reverse circulation and RAB drilling (48 holes totalling 1046 metres) and moisture, ash, quartz and silicate analysis of samples. RESULTS: Drilling delineated 2 kaolin deposits, comprised of 427 200 tonnes formed in the weathered zone of the crystalline basement at Doora - Vulcan, and 2 330 970 tonnes located a few kilometres south of Kadina. The deposits are overlain by 5 - 10 metres thickness of Quaternary clays and calcrete.
