Notes: Over the period December 1967 to 1969, grant licensee Austminex Pty Ltd, and Pacminex Pty Ltd, a 100% subsidiary of CSR [Colonial Sugar Refineries] Ltd, were in a 50:25:25 joint venture with US-based multinational company United Uranium NL, where the latter partner operated the mineral exploration licences comprising the Stuart Shelf Project as Mount Gunson Mines Pty Ltd. Pacminex and United Uranium together bought out Austminex Pty Ltd's major interest in the project at the end of this period, and new exploration done by the now 50:50 partnership continued to be operated by Mount Gunson Mines. In 1971, CSR bought Mount Gunson Mines' 50% share of the project (i.e. Pacminex then became the project's 100% beneficial owner). United Uranium NL de-listed from the ASX on 22/5/1974. Prior to this, between 1953 and 1965, the company had been the operator of the producing El Sherana uranium mine in the South Alligator River district of the Northern Territory. It also continued, from then on, to hold the mining rights to the NT's large Coronation Hill uranium deposit, also located in western Arnhem Land, which the Australian Commonwealth Labor Government thenceforth banned from development under its 'Three Mines Policy'.
