TARGET: Possible buried platinum group metals mineralisation, east of Black Hill. EXPLORATION: Geological reconnaissance, rock chip sampling (3), and three traverses of ground magnetic surveying totalling 18 line km. RESULTS: Magnetic anomaly targets that were discerned within the buried Black Hill Norite magmatic complex rocks were considered to be too deep (>400 m) to follow up. Also, no evidence of mixing of different types of past intruding magma is known for the Black Hill area, which is discouraging since this is believed to be an important genetic factor for causing any large scale precipitation of PGM crystalline segregates within a magma chamber.
