The March-April 1987 drilling programme, of 25 angled RC holes totalling 2437 m, tested the gold content of the known mineralised quartz veins and also attempted to determine the distribution of gold within the surrounding Tarcoola Formation. Elevated fine gold values in wallrock to quartz veins were found to be commonly associated with pyrite-chlorite-quartz alteration of the wallrock. The quartz veins themselves contain irregularly distributed and variably sized gold particles. Significant drilling intersections include 131.25 g/t over 4 m (in TRC16), 19.67 g/t over 2 m (TRC10), and 13.97 g/t over 4 m (TRC14).
