TARGET: Economic Tertiary brown coal seams associated with possible depressions in the pre-Tertiary basement. EXPLORATION: Following the acquisition by SADME of a detailed gravity survey (2030 stations on a 1.5 by 0.75 km grid) over previously unexplored areas within EL 782, 21 open hole rotary drillholes totalling 1345.1 m were put down within the relinquished area during early 1982 to test interpreted residual gravity low anomalies. RESULTS: No significant coal intersections were made.
