TARGET: Possible economic, open-pit mineable stratiform low grade gold and copper deposits within Adelaidean units of the Nackara Arc, in an area lying west of and including Yunta. EXPLORATION: A detailed geological field reconnaissance, review of previous exploration data, and an economic re-evaluation of mineralisation at the Paratoo copper prospect, leading to suggestions for future drilling to delineate untested sections of the prospect's oxidised zone. RESULTS: Inconclusive, no follow-up undertaken. Several previously unrecorded small copper mine workings were located. An alternate consultant's recommendation was advanced to abandon copper lode drilling at Paratoo and instead target possible supergene - enriched, epithermal / diapiric - emplaced gold in the axial part of the Whydown Dome structure, where intersecting regional lineaments, fold breccias and igneous intrusions may have engendered a suitable metallogenetic setting.
