TARGET: Possible economic buried heavy mineral sand accumulations in raised beach strandlines within the upper Pliocene Parilla Sand, in an area centred ~80 km NW of Renmark. EXPLORATION: RAB and reverse circulation drilling (414 holes totalling 7122 m) along 17 roadside traverses. RESULTS: Several small zones of varying grade heavy mineral concentration were outlined (e.g. traverse LW12 defined a lens 600 m wide x 5.3 m thick @ 4.09% HM), but the heavy mineral assemblages are dominated by ilmenite and goethite.
