The Pandurra Formation in the region of the Cattlegrid mine has the same thermoluminescence (TL) glow curve characteristics as those associated with a uranium ore deposit. The study was undertaken to: - study the radiation damage of the Pandurra Formation both in a stratigraphic and lateral extent, and to observe any variations on a regional scale; - identify any TL anomalies which may be associated with copper mineralization; - match the TL glow curve characteristics of quartz from volcanic lavas within the licence with a mineralogically known suite of Gawler Range Volcanics.
