Reviews subsurface geological data in the north-eastern portion of Mount Gunson EL 951, where a major Mesoproterozoic sedimentary basin, complemented by a concealed granite basement high to the east, is recognised. The transition from the basin to the high is complex, probably due to strong interference between deep crustal tectonic structures. The inter-relationships between the tectonic model and potential ore deposition sites within the concealed pre-Pandurra Formation basement are examined.
