TARGET: Kimberlitic diatremes; Olympic Dam / Tennant Creek style deposits; stratiform base metal deposits; iron ore; Cretaceous sediment - hosted uranium deposits. EXPLORATION: Regional : aerial magnetic and radiometric surveys, geological mapping, stream sediment and gravel sampling. Follow-up : ground magnetic, gravity and radiometric surveys, geological mapping, rock chip sampling, and open hole percussion (23 holes totalling 862 metres) and diamond (7 holes totalling 1188 metres) drilling. RESULTS: Some minor base metal values were encountered in basement lithologies which included magnetite veins, magnetite gneiss, serpentinised dunite, and other ultramafics. Minor surficial uranium was discovered in a Cretaceous sandstone.
