TARGET: Possible base and precious metals mineralisation in Cambrian metasediments and younger Delamerian igneous intrusive rocks of the Palmer area of the Kanmantoo Trough. EXPLORATION: BCL (bulk cyanide leach) and stream sediment geochemical sampling (65), rock chip sampling (92), mine dump grab sampling at a number of known prospects, shallow hand auger hole bottomhole sampling (35) and soil sampling (4). Five outcrop samples taken from near the granite/sediment contact to the north-east of the Kitticoola mine were examined petrologically. RESULTS: Widespread anomalous surface gold values were outlined at the Kitticoola mine. Four of 6 grab samples collected from historic small copper workings located on a shear zone ~500 m north of Palmer township returned assay values of >0.5 ppm Au.
