Gold-copper exploration of geochemical and magnetic targets in Adelaidean cover sediments situated north of and near Olary has comprised geological mapping, ground magnetic surveys and limited rock chip and soil geochemical sampling at known mineralised prospects. The rocks investigated lie within the north-west trending MacDonald (Fault) Corridor, and have overthrust and fault contact relationships along their north-eastern margin with Early Proterozoic basement metasediments of the Willyama Complex. Recommended further rock chip and soil sampling, plus RAB drilling of possible chemical traps for gold-bearing solutions envisaged to exist in carbonaceous metasediments mapped south-west of the Perseverance copper workings, was not carried out.
