TARGET: Economic hydrothermal copper or gold mineralisation in shallowly concealed pre-Adelaidean meta-igneous and metasedimentary bedrock known to occur over an area near Bute township. EXPLORATION: Ground magnetic profiling over previously defined magnetic and geochemical anomalies, field mapping of basement float and rare outcrop, surface rock chip and bedrock auger chip sampling, additional geochemical analyses of samples taken from stored exploratory diamond drill cores held in the SADME Moonta core library, and the conduct of reconnaissance IP and Sirotem surveys, with detailed follow-up Sirotem profiling in two areas. RESULTS: No significant geochemical or geophysical anomalies were identified that might indicate large buried base metal sulphide bodies or structurally-controlled gold occurrences.
