TARGET: Possible diapirism-related gold, base metals and diamonds in the Warraweena area, located 10 km south-east of Copley. EXPLORATION: Reconnaissance gravel and stream sediment BLEG sampling, plus geochemical tests for signatures of possible diapir-hosted carbonatite, and 1:5000 scale geological mapping of the sites of geochemical anomalies and of mineral vein occurrences at several historic copper workings spread along the margins of the Patawarta Diapir. RESULTS: No diamonds and no carbonatite or kimberlitic indicators were found, and the various small, low-grade gold and copper anomalies confirmed by field inspection did not warrant further work.
