TARGET: Possible Starra (Nth Qld) - type gold deposits associated with regional scale structures and associated intrusive rocks in the Anabama Hill region. EXPLORATION: Photogeology studies, reconnaissance BLEG stream sediment (44) and rock chip (16) geochemical sampling, reprocessing of the 1984 aerial magnetic survey data flown by BHP, and limited grid-based soil (24) geochemical sampling over selected magnetic anomalies. RESULTS: Several areas of low level anomalous gold and base metals were outlined, including near Mallee Dam Bore, but all of these were downgraded as drill targets by follow-up sampling and field geological checking.
