TARGET: Possible diamondiferous kimberlites subcropping under Cainozoic cover in an area located 110 km north-east of Glendambo. EXPLORATION: Acquisition and interpretation of 6759 line km of airborne magnetic and radiometric surveys, regolith heavy mineral sampling, grid-based ground magnetic and ground EM surveys (over 18 confirmed out of 27 original aeromagnetic anomalies), and aircore/RC/rotary and limited (7.7 m of NQ core) diamond drilling (in 20 holes totalling 1071 m) of 10 selected magnetic anomalies. RESULTS: Kimberlitic indicator minerals were recovered at the surface and rarely in drilled sediments, which suggests that the licence area may be proximal to kimberlite, but no such volcanic or intrusive source rocks were encountered by the drilling programme or by field reconnaissance. Reedy Lagoon Corp. now believes that the source for the kimberlitic indicator grains lies outside of EL 1380, and accordingly it is focussing its future diamond exploration in the adjoining EL 1603.
