Exploration for possible economic hydrothermal / replacement style copper deposits within two known mineralised areas on the northern margin of the Blinman Diapir comprised geological mapping of the stratigraphic / structural setting of accessible previously worked orebodies, plus test drilling at selected sites located both close to and somewhat distant from the major past workings. Appraisal percussion drilling carried out at the Lady Lehmann mine (13 holes for a total penetration of 1533 feet) has indicated a remnant copper sulphide mineralised orebody that is over 2000 feet long and between 5-10 feet thick, which may contain up to 1% Cu on average, surrounded by an envelope of disseminated ore up to 40 feet wide. Other percussion drilling carried out at the Ivy Queen mine (5 holes for a total of 551 feet) has shown that the zone of mineralisation extends for at least 800 feet and attains a maximum thickness of 12 feet at 100 feet depth in the vicinity of the old workings. Three inclined diamond drillholes totalling 1225 feet were recommended for drilling at these prospects to test for ore continuity/thickness/grade at depth, but this work was not carried out before a decision was made to surrender the lease.
