Exploration for possible stratabound gold within Cambrian metasediments in the Mount Lofty Ranges east of Adelaide, which may have developed inside the alteration aureoles of late orogenic to post-tectonic granite intrusions, has consisted of the reprocessing and interpretation of previous CRA aeromagnetic data, plus regional stream-sediment BLEG geochemical sampling (186 x 5 kg samples). Follow-up infill BLEG and rock chip sampling in geochemically anomalous areas recorded up to 20 ppb Au.
