{ELs 822, 1145, 1494 programme}: TARGET: Roxby Downs and Tennant Creek - style copper, gold, and uranium, plus diamonds in kimberlite diatremes and metamorphic and hydrothermal breccia - related iron ore, in the Engenina Creek area, 60 km south-east of Coober Pedy. EXPLORATION: Comprised an airborne magnetic and radiometric survey, rock chip geochemistry, petrology, ground magnetic, gravity and SIROTEM survey traverses, and a trial GEOGAS survey. Drilling included RC (23 holes, total 1396 m), RAB (28 holes, total 3009 m) and diamond (36 holes, total 9479 m) components. RESULTS: Significantly anomalous levels of copper, gold and uranium were intersected at several prospects. A small (~15 Mt to 200 m depth), high grade iron ore deposit (61% Fe, 0.04% P) was identified at Peculiar Knob. {ELs 1106, 1239 programme}: TARGET: Copper, gold and iron ore in the Balta Baltana Creek area, south-east of Mount Woods. EXPLORATION: Comprised an airborne magnetic and radiometric survey, with follow-up ground magnetic surveying and diamond drilling (2 holes, total 344 m). RESULTS: No significant base metal or iron mineralisation was intersected.
