Following a change in exploration focus in late 1985, from the search for sedimentary uranium to looking for possible Broken Hill style stratiform Ag-Pb-Zn base metal mineralisation within concealed Palaeoproterozoic basement rocks, in the Kalkaroo area north-east of Olary, new work by the South Eagle licensees has comprised a review of previous exploration data, reprocessing of SADM/BMR aeromagnetic surveys, assaying of bottom-hole samples, and RAB / rotary-mud drilling (117 holes, total 3186 m). Anomalous Zn and Mn valves were recorded near Ram Dam.
