Exploration for possible base and precious metal occurrences in the Duffield's Dam - Mutooroo West area, 15 km south-east of Radium Hill, comprised a review of data from previous aeromagnetic and IP surveys, and follow-up gravity and ground magnetics. An interpreted sub-Adelaidean basement fault structure was noted from this work, extending from the adjoining Cutana EL where the highly prospective Ballara synformal structure had earlier been identified in Willyama age strata. Although plans were made to test the buried fault zone with RAB or aircore drillholes, a joint venture partner could not be found to support execution of the intended work.
